What a bimbo. Learn some thermodynamics.
@iJustine Where can I find that cool MacBook cover you show in the beginning? Thank you
vacuum cooler is the best for laptop
I have an air purifier and it basically acts like a big vertical fan that blows clean air upwards and I put my Mac down it on by accident in-between playing sims 4 and came back and wow it was cold and the Mac fan was off and still played sims 4 fine. not too healthy on the air purifier though
This depends on your CPU, not your temperature!
Laptop cooling pads barely make a difference. Probably 5–10C at mac. See if your computer doesn’t throttle then there is on point in it but if it is it will bring it from 100C to 90–95C which is really bad but at-least it isn't throttling. If you want to cool your laptop down by like 20C-40C celcius, then take a bionare window fan and lie it on the floor or elevate it for better airflow. I kept it lying down. Then place your laptop on the fan and make sure that the bottom air intakes are facing the fans. then connect a monitor, keyboard, and mouse to your laptop and use it like a desktop. I did this with my macbook pro 13 2019 when gaming playing Minecraft. Without this setup my mac would stay in the high 70s-low 80s when the fans are trying but in mac os, it is designed that the fans only kick in during throttling because apple philosophy is that a laptop should be as quiet as possible so the fans turn off after it stabilizes at 70–80C and the processor reaches 100C. But with this setup, I averaged high 50-very low 60C and that is when the fans were turned off because i picked up the laptop to hear if the fans were on and nothing. So it cools the laptop by 40C if the fans are not on but if you keep the fans only 20 because the fans turn off once it reaches 50–60C. If the fans were on the entire time however, it would probably do an additional 10–20C, so that is very effective.
I have the MacBook 15 inch 2015, and I have a pad that is mostly holes (bassicalls just a stand), it makes a significant difference as it stops the laptop from throttling)
Apple is a dictatorship, you don't own the products, they do. The clear proof of that is what Jessa from iPadRehab experienced.
iPadRehab is a business that Jessa started to fix iPads and iPhones, she has a PhD in molecular biology like she say (I'm an expert in small things that come with no manual) so she is very good fixing all the iPhones and iPads that the genius bar rejects as unfixable.
She sent her own iPad to China to fix, 1 because she didn't had the time, 2. because it required to change an Apple branded circuit, so she thought it will have issues in customs if I order the chip so I will send the iPad and have it fixed there and come back to me, is my own iPad.
Well no, she got a phone call from Customs and they told her, her package has been confiscated due to counterfeiting. An original iPad, with original chips, fixed in the Apple ensamble factory, was stoped as a counterfeit, because Apple wasn't the one moving it through customs.
So you don't own any of "your" Apple products, you are just renting them for the life of the product for full price. that makes you a sucker.
Apple has become the dictatorship of its own 1984 ad.
Now, if i'm here is not my choice, my personal laptop is Lenovo, but my work Laptop is a mac and it is what they have in my job so I have suck it up, I hate Apple. Yes Apple's aesthetics is so cool but is also the root cause of it's poor temp performance, and it's poor performance in every other sense.
Ijustine no offense but I think Apple drops the ball, I think the MacBook could do better if the os and if the system did better. I like Apple but 3 things I got problems with
1. No gpu on MacBook Air or 13 inch MacBook Pro
2. Thermal issues cpu and gpu profornace
3. Poor support with games and apps
When you think wood dissipates heat better than metal lmfao. The logic is funny because as a child you might think that makes sense.
you had to test fans speed of system with it in stess tests, check all temperature, like wifi, aria close to cpu and gpu, make your own fans' settings and test it all at least
wow two idiots that disregard the laws of thermodynamics but hey I got a bunch of random shitty facts about apple
Can’t even watch the whole video, so corny
unsubsribed .
Why is this utter stupidity still up? Everything about this video is idiotic beyond belief.
Use a fan controller app…
why dont you just plug the usb end of the cooling pad into a plug socket, then the plug socket into the wall or extension lead? then it's not using power from the mac!
Omg that trackpad…
Why such a shit laptop why didn't you do something in gaming with real stress testing or why not run a bench marking Unigine Heaven because Macs suck at this and crumble lol.. Instead we have A) Dumb blonde B) Supposedly intelligent person but not really.. And why didn't they do gaming..Because MAC'S SUCK lol
Christ! The way she handles a knife is a small wonder she hasn’t chopped off her fingers.
I got a new thermal paste on my air
Thermal throttle expensive pieces of s$$$. stop promoting the Macbook pros. the post 2015 machines are the worse things ever built for value for money
If you are just blowing air to the metal, it won't make the metal cooler, unless the metal has water on it and evaporation cools the metal, so the cooling pad is useless.
You must take the test with a gameming laptop and then with your heat testing and take the tester go on at take the pads
so scientific …
"This is metal, you are cooking your laptop" Uhmm…. Hard to argue with that solid reasoning. I guess that's why radiators get hot, right?
Which school u want? cause Metal is good conductor of heat dumbo😑 😶
Should have tested with something like cinebench + if MacBook is thermally throttling software update just makes it run on lower frequency it can't otherwise lower the temperature.
Anyway bad teating, dislike.
No, your video was not “worth it?”
Seriously, you think a large metal grill cooks your computer? It literally spreads the heat over a larger surface area and blows fans over it. Anything else is just blowing air on the laptop.
Your testing methodology didn’t measure anything practical, you made a faulty assumption about heat and rendering times.
And why do you stare at the camera when you’re talking to him? Creepy.

12:32 😂🔪
15:23 total Result Bamboo is best🎋🎍
terrible tests, you know if you do the tests right after the other first ones will benefit from it
"Lets put you off to the side my little friend"
Macbooks are not your friend
They need to do it on a computer without a fan
why not just use Macs fan control lol
you guys didnt wait for the laptop to go back to normal temperature smh
measuring time is one thing, but you actually needed to measure temperatures!
17:35 has to be the most retarded thing i have heard in my life. Variation of temperature doesn’t matter? If the temperature didnt matter, then why does it run below base clock speeds under full load? And the “patch” was just apple undervolting to try to keep the cpu at better temps, which of course didnt work. They put an overpowered cpu in a laptop with a terrible cooling solution. The next steps? Overprice it and lie to consumers about how powerful it is. On another note the reason the cooling pads did nothing is because the vents in the mbp are tiny and at the hinge, giving very little air flow. All those pads did was cool the bottom of the chassis, not the cpu. Watch dave2d put one of these in a freezer and run some tests, then tell me temps dont matter. Got me tilt. And f u apple
Covering the bottom of the computer in an insulating layer of 3M vinyl wrap, and then blowing air on the bottom of the computer to cool it is pretty funny.
You’ve put the fans below the outflow fan. Blowing hot air back in.
Put the fans below the base only.
At best it will cool the metal heatsink plate, perhaps doing slight good.
Blowing hot air straight back in will do no good. It will do lots bad.
C'mon, you can do many things in 4 seconds….
I just got a base model macbook pro 15 2018.. it heats up without even opening any apps..
